The world most expensive footballer is also ready to help United to the Premier League title. He’s returned to Old Trafford to win, not merely be in it!

Paul Pogba was forced to miss the Bournemouth match last weekend due to suspension carried over from his Juventus days but the £89m man is ready for his United debut on Friday.

The final decision on his selection against Southampton is down to Jose Mourinho, Pogba knows this, but he’s left in little doubt he’ll be fit and ready to face the Saints, telling the Manchester Evening News.

‘You have to ask the manager but I feel very good and have been training for 10 days. I am okay. I am quite used to this (busy summer). I played the World Cup two years ago when at Juve and three years ago I was at the Under-20s World Cup as well. So I am okay. It is about your body and I have been training on my holidays.’

A naturally fit football (as all should be) he continued to work hard during the summer so there shouldn’t be any issues surrounding his fitness should there? Mourinho brought him to play him so I suspect he will.

It’s not like he’s coming back from a injury is it so if he isn’t making his second United debut tomorrow night I’ll be very surprised.

The money paid for him, and the fact he’s overtaken Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale as the most expensive footballer ever, doesn’t phase him with Pogba back for one reason only, to win the Premier League and then challenge in the Champions League with United again.

‘I am just happy to play football, I don’t even think about it. My ambition is always be the number one and be the best. So the objective is to win the league. We want to go back to the Champions League because that is where we belong.’
