With all the hullabaloo surrounding the arrival of Paul Pogba, something appeared to be overlooked.

It would appear that our world transfer record signing is unable to, if it was intended he should do so, make his Manchester United debut against AFC Bournemouth, on Sunday afternoon.

It transpires that the 23-year-old French international midfielder is, as it turns out, suspended.

The suspension came to light courtesy of the Football Association who pointed out that Paul Pogba was suspended after he picked up two yellow cards in the Coppa Italia.

Asked if he was aware of the situation at the pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to take on AFC Bournemouth, Jose replied that he found out on Wednesday remarking,

‘I didn’t know if an accumulation would bring suspension, I didn’t know if the suspension would be in the same competition, or the corresponding competition.’

I guess we`ll have to wait until next weekend to see Paul Pogba pull on a Manchester United shirt in anger.
