Yesterday the big news story in the Sunday press once again covered the future of David De Gea.

The gist of what was being suggested was that if David De Gea, as most people suspect, is bound for Real Madrid, then Manchester United would make a move to lure the Spurs goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, to Old Trafford.

The rumour was based on the supposition that the French international had spoken about his desire to play in the Champions League, something that doesn`t look as if it is going to happen whilst he remains on the books at White Hart Lane.

Our article, published yesterday, also spoke about Spurs having to hand over a percentage of any fee over and above the fee they paid for the keepers services.

The inference being that, as he always seems to do, Daniel Levy would drive a hard-bargain.

This morning the speculation appears to have spun around one hundred and eighty degrees with the Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, insisting that 28-year-old Lloris does not want to leave the North London based club.

Well, in all honesty, he would say that wouldn`t he!

But watch this space!
