As another piece of the transfer jigsaw falls into place.

Our last utterance on the subject of the Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes joining us, we reported that the united-deal-for-midfielder-was-far-from-collapsing-but it was-just-at-a-delicate-stage and reported that the players’ agent was in Manchester conducting talks.

We also implied that there may be some negotiating to do regarding the transfer fee with the two clubs circa £20 million apart.

Today, it would appear, according to The Sport Witness that the deal has moved a little closer.

Our quoted source is suggesting that the 24-year-old is now sold on the deal, after talking to representatives of Manchester United.

Furthermore, our source goes on to suggest that Fernandes is due, in Manchester, for a medical.

Now, so it would seem, all Manchester United have to do is reach an amicable agreement with Sporting Lisbon over that fee.

It’s good news for United supporters but there is still a way to go to get this one over the finishing line, let’s all keep those fingers crossed.

  • we should get Bruno and longstaff plus 1 more sell pogba and matic get koolibally even selliba or dias then see how we look, I am excited this season for a change lets see

  • Get Bruno ASAP! Let go of Pogba. I’m not a fan of Harry Maguire but if we can get him, good. And don’t forget longstaff.

  • Get rid on that Pogba boy and bring in players who re willing to contribute to this great club but Bruno shouldn’t slip in our hands we love Man United.

  • Sell pogba, matic, fred, young, smalling, jones, lingard, sanchez, lukaku, get Bruno, Nicolas Pepe, Sean longstaff, marguire

  • Why is no one seeing that this isco +80 million is the best deal we can ever get for pogba. Pls sell him and get isco and use the cash to sign a defender or an all out winger right and solve our problems.

  • since pogba wants to leave let him go after all he is not the only player in the pkanet, utd should go out and seal the deal for bruno.

  • Get Bruno and Harry maybe if Paul is leaving then let’s go for longstaff and one more we need a striking force…Go get icardi as swap deal for Romelu

  • use rukaku to bring icardi as swap deal and get bruno, rice, locelco,de light and sell pogba damian young jones sanchez

  • I don’t know why it has always been harder for united to sign players than other big clubs like PSG, man city

  • Good to get the best deal for our targets but Man Utd negotiators must move fast. The earlier the targets are purchased and integrated the better for us. Fernandes, Longstaff and more British talents will sustain the team in the long term. Just like under Sir Alex. Pogba, Rojo and even DeGea of his made up should go. We need dedicated boys not mercenaries

  • Go go get that man for us, pogba Should go…….name don’t play football, maturity does. Go go united

  • With the recent uncertainty surrounding the transfer of some players like Pogba, Lukaku, etc, care must be taken to avoid an outright loss situation. In essence, quality players like Aubameyang, Fernandez, Ben Yedder, etc, should be top on the club’s priority.
