Opinion: Time To Sell Striker Who Clearly Wants To Play In Serie A

|

Fresh from scoring two goals for Belgium, in the 3-0 win against Scotland, the Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, has, once again, hinted that his future may no longer be at Old Trafford.

It’s a subject we’ve covered before, Click Here, but this time around I get the feeling that the striker has made his mind up and is pushing for a move.

This train of thought is based upon an article in ESPN, whereby Lukaku has possibly signalled his intentions by labelling the Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte, as the best in the world.

Clearly trying to engineer a move to the Milan based club, Lukaku then goes on to mention that, along with the Premier League, Serie A is a league he’s always dreamed of playing in.

Like we’ve uttered many times before if a player isn’t 100% committed to Manchester United then move him on.

Last season, towards what was far from a gracious season finale, Lukaku looked as if he was struggling for fitness, huffing and puffing and looking far from the complete athlete he should be.

If I were in charge, would I authorise a sale?

Most certainly, but what would you do?
