Opinion: This Proposed Deal Just Has That It’ll Go On Forever Feeling And Might Not Get Completed

|

It has been over two weeks since we here, at Vital Manchester United, have offered any thoughts on the ongoing Romelu Lukaku situation.

Our last article excellent-news-as-media-speculation-infers-united-may-get-the-best-part-of-a-striker-swap-deal suggested that, in order to fund any possible deal, Inter Milan might be persuaded to offer a very lucrative player swap.

Sadly, that doesn’t look as if it is going to materialise, but the insinuation that Inter will need to shed players to purchase Lukaku is something The Sun recently picked up on with it being implied the Italian club would be offloading Joao Mario and Dalbert to part-fund the deal.

But still, nothing concrete has emerged inferring a deal is close to being completed.

Instead, the latest we can bring you comes courtesy of Sky Sport Italia which carries the inference that Lukaku’s agent has held fresh talks with Inter to try and get a deal for the 26-year-old over the line.

With there still being some time before we even contemplate the closure of the summer transfer window, I’m starting to get the impression this is a deal that could go on and on and be in danger of not being completed before the transfer window slams shut, it just has that annoying feel to it!

Is that a view you concur with?
