Opinion: The Deal To Secure Our Second Signing Of The Summer Is Moving Closer

|

So far this summer, Manchester United, despite all the bluster about some major activity in the summer transfer market, have signed just the one player, Daniel James, from Swansea.

But could the club be set to clinch a second summer signing in the next few hours?

Quite possibly.

It appears that something we’ve covered before, (the latest offering being; United Close To Securing Second Deal), could be set to come to fruition.

The good folk of The Sun, are reporting that major progress has been made with regards to bringing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the club, from Crystal Palace.

Where, previously, there was a stand-off when it came to the transfer fee, it appears the clubs are back in negotiations.

In fact, our source is reporting that the right-back is set for a medical at Old Trafford.

As for that difference on the transfer fee, United have offered £35 million rising to £50 million with add-ons whereas Crystal Palace want the £50 million up front.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we suspect that a fee somewhere in the middle will be agreed with add-ons completing the deal.

Hopefully, this signing will be announced shortly and be followed by several more as we seek to strengthen the squad and close the gap between us and Manchester City and Liverpool.
