Or does it?

But, down at Stamford Bridge, in that epic 3-3 draw when United came back from 3-0 down to grab a vital point, one save seems to have secured David De Gea his regular starting eleven place.

True, Anders Lindgeaard may have struggled with injuries in recent weeks, but when De Gea arched his body to turn away that spectacular shot by Juan Mata, he went from a boy to a man.

Speaking to the media, De Gea has provided these comments that add foundation to the suggestion,

“When you look back over a season there are lots of defining moments.”

“But from a team point of view, and particularly from a personal point f view, the fact the save was in the last minute was decisive.”

“It gave me a huge confidence boost as well. From a personal perspective that was important.”

So now we know!
