Now whether Ole Gunnar Solsklaer does take the vacant managerial job at Villa Park is a hard call to make.

The latest we heard was that Ole had met Randy Lerner an dafter four hours of talks had flown back to Norway.

Subsequently, media talk inferred that he was to stay in Norway to see out the remainder of his contract.

But, despite this apparent reluctance to dump Molde, the bookies still have Ole as a front-runner in their listings to succeed Alex McLeish.

Talking about the situation Ole has given little away and his latest comments infer that the situation is as murky as ever with Ole remarking,

“It is always flattering. When United wanted to buy me I was flattered. Players want to be at the highest level and it`s the same as a manager.”

“But it may well be that other names will sound more interesting than mine. There was some suggestion I turned them down but it`s not something I think about.”

Anyone care to second guess what the outcome will be?
