We’ll play at Wigan tomorrow. Then Arsenal visit Old Trafford on Saturday. If we pick up at least four points, we are crowned Champions of England for the third successive time. So the papers are full with… with Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The latter’s petulant strop is interpreted as a sign of his desire to leave United, a desire he denied several times in the past month. El PaĆs claims United and Ronaldo had already agreed a contract with Madrid while the Times reports that the Portuguese had indicated his willingness to stay in Manchester for one more season.

Then there’s Tevez. The selfless warrior, who chose the eve of a crucial Manchester derby to moan about his own future then attempted to exploit the fans’ support towards him after scoring a goal, is reportedly ready to join either Liverpool or Manchester City. Would be a fine way to show his supposedly enormous respect towards us.

But enough of this, everyone! There’s a League title at stake, for heaven’s sake. I can’t really hear Rooney whining about why he hasn’t started the last game, can you? So our two Latin gems should just forget about themselves for a few days – there’s a whole summer ahead after the Champions League final with the plenty of opportunities to wallow in self-pity and all. Right now everyone should be focused on beating Wigan and Arsenal – contracts come second.
