BBC Sport are reporting that the Premier League trophy will not be at Ewood Park this weekend.

Even though Manchester United can finally seal that 19th top-flight title with a draw, the decision has been taken to hold back on presenting the trophy until the last weekend of the season when relegation threatened Blackpool are our opposition.

On reflection it appears to be the correct decision with the presentation now being set to be performed in front of in excess of 75,000 supporters at Old Trafford rather than the mere fraction of that amount that will get tickets for the Ewood Park fixture.

If it does have a downside though then it`s possibly that whilst we`re celebrating winning the title with the champagne flowing there is every possibility that Blackpool, suffering relegation, could be at the extreme opposite of the emotional scale!
