Our noisy-neighbours may well have scooped a massive windfall by hawking the naming rights to their stadium but it doesn`t look like United will be following them down the same route.

Commenting on the proposed naming of the Etihad Stadiumm Sir Bobby Charlton had this to say to the media,

“I don`t think it will happen with us. When teams in lower divisions are short of cash, then fair do`s.”

“But I can only say that it`s not our policy to change the name of Old Trafford. It`s too important.”

Sir Bobby may very well have a point but who knows what the future holds, after all who`d have ever predicted that the club would be owned by Americans a few years back!
