Still in his first season in charge, our Dutch boss, Louis van Gaal is starting to manipulate the squad into a shape he feels comfortable with next season.

During his time in charge he has had the opportunity to see which players he feels have a long term future at Old Trafford and which ones are heading for the exit door this summer.

This morning the indications are that suggest Louis van Gaal is keen to keep three players at the club who have deals that expire a the end of next season, with the trio being comprised of,

? Ashley Young
? Phil Jones
? Chris Smalling

It is reported that our vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, has begun talks with representatives of all three players with a view to offering them deals said to vary in length between three and four years.

Here at Vital Manchester United we`ll report further when any more news is forthcoming.
