With the transfer window now open, there is speculation, coming from mainland Europe, relating to Manchester United bringing a left-back to Old Trafford.

According to the Portuguese news source, Record, Napoli are now ready to sell their left-back Faouzi Ghoulam.

The 23-year-old defender has a buy-out clause in his contract said to be of the magnitude of £53 million.

Our referenced source implies that if this is matched then they will sell the player.

However, it seems Ghoulam is only available as the Italian club have a replacement lined up. Apparently, Napoli are sign the 22-year-old Spaniard, Alejandro Grimaldo .

Grimaldo is currently on the books of Benfica with Napoli set to pay £26.6 million for his services.

Therefore, we have to ask the age-old question, is the Algerian set to become the answer to our problematic left-back problem?
