I`m beginning to believe that perhaps, just perhaps, the media in this country are trying to orchestrate a summer departure, from Old Trafford, for Angel Di Maria this summer.

Today, appearing in one of the tabloid publications this country produces, is the inference that Di Maria was on the end of a verbal blast from Louis van Gaal after the 2-1 win against Liverpool.

Foundations for this accusation are, in my opinion, pretty shaky with the tabloid suggesting that Louis van Gaal was far from impressed with the player who he believed gave the ball away far too many times.

The tabloid then goes on to use a comment made by the Dutchman that reads,

“When we don`t have the ball we don`t press the opponent with the ball and that was different.”

But quite how that fits in with the gist of the story confuses me, even more so when the tabloid goes on to admit that although the atmosphere was tasty in the dressing room and that the discussion went on, it admits that it wasn`t directed at Angel Di Maria by name.

As my granddad used to mutter every now and again – much ado about nothing if you ask me!
