It is believed that Everton boss David Moyes will attempt to take action against Wayne Rooney over comments made in the England and United striker’s new Autobiography.

With so many players releasing the story of their life (so far, no doubt another one will follow in a few years) this won’t be the last time we hear from managers, clubs, assorted others taking action.

Considering it was Everton who gave Rooney his big break, he has been somewhat critical of his former club and manager. The book covered by the Daily Mail claims that Moyes was envious of the attention Rooney was getting. There is also a somewhat surprising claim that the striker was “forced” out of Goodison Park.

Rooney’s current defence, is that there are balancing statements made by the striker in his book, which have been ignored and edited out by the newspaper for a much more ‘shocking’ effect. Whilst currently Moyes is suing the newspaper, it may not be long before we see legal action against the player himself.

A story that’ll rumble on, hopefully not effecting Wayne’s on-field performance.
