This international break will see England play two World Cup qualifiers in quick succession.

The national team play this Friday evening and again on Sunday evening.

Gareth Southgate`s side need just two points from the two games to secure a place in the World Cup Finals, in 2018, in Russia.

Ahead of the two matches, Jose Mourinho has made his views known with regard to one Manchester United player selected for the England squad.

According to the Express, Jose has requested that Gareth Southgate doesn`t play in both of England`s two games.

Obviously, Jose is worried about his teenage striker suffering early season burn-out, we reckon.

Perhaps the ideal solution would be for England to make sure, with Marcus Rashford in the side, win the fixture this Friday, at Wembley, World Cup qualification will then have been confirmed and for the second fixture, on Sunday, in Lithuania, Southgate can rest Rashford.
