Mourinho’s Appreciation Society

|

Is it me or does our boss appear to be mellowing with age?

Ahead of our trip to take on Brighton and Hove Albion this evening, Jose Mourinho used part of his pre-match press conference to praise the Seagulls boss, Chris Hughton, remarking to the assembled hacks,

“Very, very good – to go from very, very good to amazing he just needs to mathematically confirm the Premier League for next season.

“I think they don’t need more points, I think they have the job done, but mathematically they still need a point or something or other results to go their way.

“I think Brighton will be there next year and that’s a fantastic job for Chris and not surprising for me because since the start they have shown the quality and mentality to get the points they need to stay in the division.”

All fine words of appraisal coming hard-on-the-heels of Jose also praising the achievements of Arsene Wenger, last weekend, when the Frenchman made his final visit to Old Trafford as the manager of Arsenal.

It’s all a long way from the Jose of old, is it not?
