It would appear that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is approaching a critical stage of his Manchester United career.

The 28-year-old Armenian hasn`t featured in Manchester United`s last two match-day squads with Jose Mourinho admitting that he`s not been happy with the players performances.

Talking to the media, Mourinho is quoted as having remarked,

‘I was not happy with his last performances.

‘It’s not one or two, I am talking about three, four or five.’

So far, this season, Mkhitaryan has made 16 performances but has only netted on 2 occasions.

Signed from Borussia Dortmund, back in July 2016, for a fee of £26.3 million, Mkhitaryan is expected to make a return to the match-day squad for the fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion, but it would appear that there is pressure on the player to put in a performance.

But, aware that all might not be well, his previous club, Borussia Dortmund, according to the BBC, are interested in taking the player back to the Bundesliga.
