The future of Jose Mourinho, as the long-term manager of Manchester United Football Club, continues to generate column inches.

The past couple of days have seen Jose praising the French club, Paris Saint-Germain, in such a manner that you can`t help but think Jose is angling for a position with the club.

Those thoughts are further enhanced by a story appearing in The Sun this morning, suggesting Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a move to lure Jose from Manchester to Paris this summer.

This speculation comes on the back of further talk about Mourinho being only willing to commit to a new deal if he is awarded a significant pay-rise.

However, ahead of the Champions League clash with Benfica tonight, in Lisbon, Jose has had a few words to say about his future.

When asked about his status, Jose is quoted by The Guardian as having remarked,

“The answer is exactly that – nothing is happening, I`m at Manchester United, I have a contract and that`s it.”

And when pushed on whether Jose would like to remain at Old Trafford beyond 2019, the boss retorted,

“I don`t think there is an answer for that. I`m not in conditions to answer to that because there is nothing to answer; I have a contract and that`s it. I have my contract that ends in May/June 2019, we are in October 2017, so I don`t know what to say.”

Non-committal there from somebody who usually has very forthright views on most topics.
