Mourinho Courts Controversy Yet Again As The Clouds Darken Once More

|

It has to be said that when it comes to courting controversy, Jose Mourinho has a knack of doing just that.

In what has been a troubled start to the season, for Manchester United, Jose has encountered problems with his squad, with the future of Paul Pogba attracting attention.

But, yesterday, as we prepared to up our coverage of the Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace, all appeared to be well in the Old Trafford camp, with the Standard, reporting that the Old Trafford hierarchy were confident any player mutiny had been quelled.

But, fast forward to this morning and matters could well have changed slightly.

The news source, the Mirror, has picked up on something that a journalist raised a question about at the pre-match press conference held before the Crystal Palace game whereby Jose was questioned about an interview he gave to the foreign press, an interview where it was suggested young players lacked maturity and were pampered.

Unsurprisingly, Jose ducked the question, inferring that the text had been misreported.

But, in running the story, our referenced source claims the players named were Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.

Now whether it’s a case of no smoke without fire or whether Jose was misquoted remains to be seen, but controversy certainly follows our boss about does it not?
