If I had a £1 for every time the name of Gareth Bale was linked with a move to Manchester United, I`d be quite comfortable with life.

But, lurking in the media yesterday was the insinuation that, come the summer, the Welshman could actually be pulling on our famous red-shirt.

According to the Spanish press source, Sport, Bale is set to become one of the victims of the forthcoming squad reshuffle at the Bernabeu.

Although the Spanish club remain on course to win the Champions League for a third consecutive season, their form in La Liga has seen their close rivals, Barcelona, romp away with the title.

Our referenced source, in discussing the future of the player, is championing the inference that a move to Old Trafford is as good as done and dusted with Jose Mourinho having convinced the 28-year-old that Old Trafford is the next stop in what has already been a glittering career.

If that is the case, although I have reservations relating to Bale`s injury record, there`s no doubting his presence will boost the squad.

But, that`s only my view, here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to hear your views on the subject matter, please feel free to comment in the facility beneath this article.
