Manchester United’s Summer Transfer Targets Unveiled

|

During the past few weeks, here on Vital Manchester United, we’ve been covering exactly who the club might be looking to sign, this summer, to bolster the squad and give the club a realistic chance of challenging for the Premier League title.

Although we’re pretty sure that nothing definite has been decided yet, we wouldn’t be too surprised if the Old Trafford hierarchy already had a wish-list to pursue.

That’s certainly the case if the red-top publication, the Mirror, is to be believed.

Our quoted source has decreed that Manchester United have identified FOUR main transfer targets, with the wish-list comprising of:

• Kalidou Koulibaly – 27 years-of-age – current club Napoli – position – defender

• Lucas Hernandez – 22 years-of-age – current club Atletico Madrid – position – defender

• Nikola Milenkovic – 21-years-of-age – current club Fiorentina – position – defender

• Douglas Costa – 28-years-of-age – current club Juventus – position – winger

If the above truly is the case, it offers confirmation of Jose Mourinho’s long-held belief that all the squad was lacking was a world-class winger and a defence that needed improving.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’d be surprised if Manchester United were to sign all three of the defenders quoted, perhaps two, but it gives us hope that steps are set to be taken to close the gap between our fine club and our nosy neighbours from down the road.
