Tonight, at Old Trafford, Manchester United, barring a disaster, should wrap up their qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Ahead of the clash with CSKA Moscow, we have cobbled together some early team-news.

Paul Pogba will feature in this game, the three-game suspension he received for his red-card against Arsenal, on Saturday, only applies to domestic games.

Two players who might be considered to be regular starters in the Manchester United first team will be missing. Nemanja Matic has a muscle problem, whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic, back from a long-term injury, is being rested.

However, Luke Shaw will play some part in the squad. The left-back, tipped to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window, has had his place in the squad confirmed by Jose Mourinho with the boss remarking about his squad selection,

‘I am going to make a few, but not too many changes.

‘We didn’t qualify yet, we didn’t finish first in the group yet, there are other clubs also involved in qualification and I need to keep a certain balance in the team.

‘But when we speak about Luke Shaw, he’s working to have an opportunity and sooner or later that opportunity will arrive because he deserves that opportunity.

‘He is selected for tomorrow for sure… to start or be on the bench, I cannot answer.’

This one has got home win written all over it for me as Manchester United look forward to the big Manchester derby this coming Sunday.
