On Tuesday evening, Manchester United entertain Benfica at Old Trafford, in a Champions League Group A fixture.

A win would see United qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, something Jose Mourinho spoke about in his pre-match press conference with the boss remarking,

‘Our aim is to qualify and finish top. A draw is not bad, but we want to win to get to the last 16.

‘If we can qualify on Tuesday it is better for us.’

However, as the fixture looms large, United will enter the fixture without those on a lengthy injury list which includes – Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo.

Benfica arrive at Old Trafford hoping they can at least get enough points to qualify for the Europa League, but Jose won`t be taking the Portuguese side for granted, remarking about them,

‘Benfica are a better team than Basel and CSKA.

‘Yes, they are in a difficult position and now they can really only expect to get enough points to go into the Europa League. So they are going to try to get at least a point from our match.

‘But since we played in Lisbon they have won in both matches. I think they are more confident, they are more Benfica than two weeks ago, so I expect a difficult match.’

Maybe, but one you`d expect Manchester United to win!
