It looks like, off the field, the year is, for Manchester United, set to end in huge disappointment.

According to The Express Manchester United will not be announcing the signing of Erling Braut Haaland.

It seems that the 19-year-old Norwegian striker, currently on the books of Red Bull Salzburg, has opted to pursue his career in Serie A with Juventus.

Our source reports that Haaland is ready to put pen-to-paper on a deal that will see him earn £6.8 million a season.

Transfer speculation linking the player who has scored 28 goals in 22 appearances this season had been rife and a roll, relating to the subject run by Vital Manchester United, saw 90% of those who voted wanted the player to come to Old Trafford.

But it seems it wasn’t going to be and now it looks as if it is time to look elsewhere, but where is the big question?
