Manchester United Shock As Spending Is Put On Hold

|

It has become clear, from recent performances, Manchester United are still off the pace when it comes to becoming one of the elite clubs in this country.

A shocking 3-1 FA Cup Final defeat, against Chelsea, was followed by a lacklustre display against West Ham United, a game that ended with the points shared.

Therefore, it is heartening that Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, according to The Telegraph is looking to add FIVE players to his squad this summer, with the quest to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford still ongoing.

But while that is news, we should all be welcoming, it appears that any spending, as The Express is championing, nothing should be taken for granted.

This source is running with the inference that a halt on transfer spending has been ordered, by the board, until Manchester United have secured qualification for the Champions League next season.

To do so, United need to get a result, away to Leicester City, this weekend in the final fixture of this elongated 2019 / 2020 season.

Keep those fingers crossed folks.
