One of the finest young strikers to emerge over the last eighteen months is Erling Braut Haaland.
At 20-years-of-age, the young Norwegian has developed the uncanny knack of being able to hit the net with alarming regularity.
It is fair to say that he would be an asset to any club.
Previously, speculation, as reported by Vital Manchester United – manchester-united-dealt-a-devastating-blow-when-it-comes-to-signing-this-striker – inferred that whilst Manchester United would like to add the striker to their squad the chances of doing so were receding.
Now the article linked to above was published back in May 2020 and today it appears that any chances of Haaland becoming a Manchester United player are slimmer than ever.
According to AS the striker has a verbal agreement with his current club, Borussia Dortmund, to leave the club in 2022.
But, with that being the case, it does not appear that Old Trafford will be his destination.
Instead, as is the case with many top young European players, it appears a move to Real Madrid beckons.
I guess you cannot win them all but these days it seems Manchester United, when it comes to transfers, are winning very few.
