Scanning the plethora of news sources available to us, the consensus from the wonderful media world, is that Manchester United are looking to reinforce their midfield.
Already today manchester-united-linked-with-massive-summer-transfer-splurge-to-sign-duo we’ve covered Manchester United’s apparent interest in Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) and Jude Bellingham (Birmingham City).
However, there is speculation, courtesy of The Daily Star that the club are also interested in another midfielder, this time of the defensive kind.
Our referenced source is implying that Manchester United, along with several other clubs, said to include Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, are all taking a keen interest in Denis Zakaria.
Zakaria, 23-years-old and Swiss by birth, is currently on the books of Borussia Monchengladbach and his performances suggest bigger things lie ahead for the player.
But, before we get all excited about another possible summer signing, we should point out that he could stay where he is, if his club achieve Champions League football next season with our source carrying the following quote from the Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director, Max Erbel:
“I think that there is a very good chance that Denis will still be with us next year if we qualify for the Champions League.”
Here at Vital Manchester United we have to admit we know very little about the player but if he is to become a summer recruit, he’d bring some added competition to the squad which can only be beneficial.
