The Champions League ties, in midweek, resulted in just Leicester City left to represent English football in the quarter-final stages.

Our friends from across the city, exited the competition after a thrilling two legged tie that ended 6-6 on aggregate but saw Monaco go through courtesy of away goals.

The tie show-cased the talents that Monaco have in their squad and today the suggestion is being bandied about by the media vehicle espn that Manchester United are set to step up their interest in acquiring the services of two of the talented squad.

The duo in question are the exciting 18-year-old forward Kylian Mbappe and the 22-year-old midfielder Tiemoue Bkayoko, both of whom got on the score-sheet against Manchester City.

Our referenced source reports that Manchester United had representatives at the game with our source also reporting that the sole reason for the visit was to watch the aforementioned pair.

However, it remains to be seen whether Monaco are ready to make a bid to hold on to the talented duo to further their own ambitions or whether they`d be prepared to cash in on their hugely talented assets this summer.
