As we move closer to the closure of the summer transfer window, the acquisition of defenders continues to dominate the speculation when it comes to Manchester United.

Now whether that is because of the abject performance given against Crystal Palace, in our first fixture of the 2020 / 2021 season, is subject to debate.

Or perhaps it is just coincidence and the player w are now about to feature has always been on our radar?

But, according to the The Telegraph, Manchester United are showing interest in securing the services of the French defender Dayot Upamecano.

The 21-year-old is currently on the books of the Bundesliga outfit, RB Leipzig and is tipped to become a star of the future.

But if Upamecano is on Manchester United’s wish list, who would most likely be his defensive partner, Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelof?

Here at Vital Manchester United we will keep an eye out for any potential developments and report back as deemed necessary.
