Manchester United Leave Five Key Players Behind As They Travel To Take On Paris Saint-Germain

|

This evening, in Paris, Manchester United get their Champions League campaign away with a difficult tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Group H tie is the first in Group H, a group that also contains Istanbul Basaksehir and RB Leipzig.

Unfortunately, Ole Gunnar takes a depleted squad to Paris for this fixture with several of his squad missing, namely:

• Harry Maguire
• Mason Greenwood
• Edinson Cavani
• Eric Bailly

and

• Jesse Lingard.

However, despite the absentees, Ole remains confident his side can get a result, remarking, as reported by The BBC:

“We are a little bit depleted but we have more than enough players.

“We hope the players won’t be away for too long. Edinson needs a few more days’ training. Maybe we can think about the weekend.

“Hopefully Harry, Eric and Mason as well, but we’re not sure about that.”

The United support will be disappointed that they will not get a chance to see Edinson Cavanai make his debut, against his former club, but that is perhaps understandable considering the Uruguayan has only completed one training session with the club.

If United are to get anything from this game, the defence must be on top of its game and when it comes to our attacking play, the United strikers must be clinical and take any chances that come their way, otherwise, it could be a long evening.
