Manchester United Identify Their Prime Summer Transfer Target

|

The January transfer window came and went without Manchester United adding, significantly, to their squad.

More importantly, the club were not able to bring in that world-class centre-back that is continually voiced as being the last piece of the Manchester United jigsaw.

However, it would appear that is set to change once the summer transfer window opens.

According to the news source, the Evening Standard, Manchester United are set to make a concerted move to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.

The 27-year-old Senegalese international is currently on the books of the Serie A side, Napoli and is seen as the perfect partner, at the heart of the Manchester United defence for Victor Lindelof who, since being restored to the side by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, has looked more like the end-product United thought they were acquiring when they signed him.

However, if Manchester United are to seal a deal for Koulibaly, it’ll come at a price with Napoli set to ask around £75 million for the cultured defender.

But, in our opinion, if Manchester United are serious about challenging Manchester City’s continued dominance of the Premier League, Koulibaly is just the kind of player it is essential we bring to the club.
