Manchester United draw Everton in the FA Cup

|

Manchester United will play Everton in the FA Cup third round between the 6th and 9th of January of 2023.

The third-round draw took place last night on BBC Two at Anfield, Manish Bhasin was joined by Rachael Brown Finnis and Mark Wright, as teams across England and Wales would find out which teams they would face at the start of January.

As United and Everton’s names were picked out of the hat, there was laughter and a sense of a good game from some of the Anfield faithful.

Erik Ten Hag’s side has already played against Everton this season. In October, the Red Devils won 2-1 away from home, with Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo being the two goal scorers.

Everton is currently one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League, with only one win in their last five.

The Toffees do have quite a lot of injuries but most of the players are due back in late December, however, it looks like former United player James Garner won’t be able to play against his previous club again, as he has a back injury that keeps him out until late January.

Fellow midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré is also expected to miss the game with a knee injury.

United have won 14 of their previous 29 games against Everton, so they will be looking to add a 15th win to that tally.[FotMob]
