Manchester United Deny Contacting Potential Managerial Candidate

|

Late this afternoon, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will take charge of Manchester United for the first time in his new role as caretaker manager.

The eyes of the footballing world will focus on the Norwegian as he attempts to stop the rot at Old Trafford and guide the club to a very welcome win, against Cardiff City.

But, with Manchester United being one of, if not the, biggest clubs in the world, Ole knows full well that media speculation will be rampant between now and when Manchester United do name a permanent successor to the axed Jose Mourinho.

Already, and as covered by us; Click Here, that Manchester United want the Tottenham Hotspurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, in the managerial hot-seat next season.

But another name thrust into the limelight, by several sources, that could take over is that of the former Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane.

However, if that is the case then the local media source, the Manchester Evening News, has moved quickly to confirm that Manchester United, despite reports suggesting otherwise, have not met with the Frenchman.

Personally, I’m all in favour of pursuing Pochettino, even if the compensation package could be enormous. The Argentine is made for the job, so let’s not waste time and just get him.
