Manchester United Defender Looking To Leave The Club In January Transfer Window

|

The Old Trafford career of one Manchester United player could be approaching its end.

Despite there being major concerns about the solidity at the heart of the Manchester United defence and also the fact the player in question is versatile, it appears that, come January, according to The Sun, Phil Jones will be looking to leave the cub.

Jones, 28-years-of-age, has not featured at all this season, totally ignored by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Although our referenced source states that Jones loves playing for Manchester United, the player is at the stage of his career where he must be playing regularly.

There is also the small matter of the forthcoming Euro 2020 championships, Jones is fully aware that unless he is playing regularly then he has no chance of resuming an international career that has stalled.

Bring left out of the Champions League squad appears to have been the final straw for Jones and it remains to be seen which clubs show an interest in acquiring the player, in the January transfer window, with Manchester United looking for a transfer fee in the region of £20 million whilst also considering the player is on a salary of circa £100,000 a week.

When Jones signed for Manchester United, back in 2011, as a teenager, he made an instant impression but, recently, his form has been hampered by a succession of injuries.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we will keep a watchful eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
