Manchester United Defender Is A Wanted Man

|

Come the closing of the January transfer window, at the end of next month, I would be surprised if a defender on Manchester United’s books was still with the club.

It is probably fair to say that Phil Jones time with the club is fast coming to an end with the 28-year-old rarely featuring in the starting eleven.

This morning, the media, courtesy of The Metro are suggesting that Jones could well be set with a reunion with a former colleague.

Our referenced source is championing the suggestion that Wayne Rooney would like to make Jones his first signing at Derby County.

However, it would also appear that West Bromwich Albion are also in the race along with Burnley.

For Jones it is a difficult decision, would he be willing to drop into the Championship with a move to a struggling Derby County side?

Would he prefer a switch to West Bromwich Albion to assist Sam Allardyce with the Baggies fight to stave off relegation from the Premier League?

Or does a move to Turf Moor appeal to him knowing he should remain a Premier League player?

Out of the three, I would suggest Burnley would be my favoured destination, but we can only wait and see as there may be other clubs watching.
