Manchester United Defender A Target For A Fellow Premier League Club In January

|

It could be the perfect time to resurrect his career.

Although Manchester United’s defence might not be as solid as some supporters might wish for, one player who has made more than his fair share of appearances, in the United defence, continues to be out of favour.

Marcos Rojo, who is back at Old Trafford after a spell out on loan with the Argentine club, Estudiantes, last season, could well be moving on in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Sheffield United are keen to take the player on loan, desperate to bolster a defence that has looked far from solid this season.

Rojo, now 30-years-of-age, is in the last year of his contract and is a free agent at the end of the season.

A loan move to Brammall Lane could lead to a permanent deal being agreed and the resurrection of a Premier League career that looked to be over.

One sticking point though could be the fact that Rojo has been named in Manchester United’s Champions League squad but that could be merely to make up the numbers.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we will endeavour to keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
