Manchester United Are Considering A Unique Player Swap Deal With Real Madrid

|

The mere fact that the transfer window is closed does not stop speculation surfacing.

Last week, it was reported, as confirmed by The BBC that Manchester United had automatically triggered the one-year contract extension on Paul Pogba’s current deal.

But does that mean that the 27-year-old Frenchman is destined to remain at Old Trafford?

Possibly not according to one source.

Lurking in the pages of The Sun, is the inference that Pogba may get to fulfil his desire to play for Real Madrid with our quoted source implying that Manchester United are taking a serious interest in acquiring the services of the Uruguayan midfielder, Federico Valverde, who is currently on the bools of the Spanish club.

Our referenced source is championing the suggestion that Manchester United could be considering doing a player swap deal, with Pogba moving to Real Madrid and 22-year-old Valverde coming to Old Trafford.

On paper it appears to be a feasible proposition and one that gets my approval, but what are your thoughts on such a deal?
