Now we`re used to our Dutch manager, Louis van Gaal, coming up with quotes that could be considered quite puzzling.

I`m tempted to believe that, perhaps, that little something gets lost in the translation process when Louis is doing his utmost to turn his native Dutch into some kind of Queen`s English.

But, following his latest remark, a quote that appears in the Sun, I`m not quite sure.

Talking about the investment he has made in players, some £240 million, Louis is quoted as suggesting that, despite reaching the FA Cup Final, Manchester United are not good enough, with the boss supposedly commenting,

“We need quick and creative players. I`ve said that, also in the transfer period.

“That`s a tricky remark because I have to manage players whose quality is not always what I want.”

After almost two seasons in the job, that is something of a startling admission.

Your thoughts on the subject would be most appreciated.
