Back in the summer, the rumour-mill linked Manchester United with a move for the Polish striker Lewandowski.

The grapevine suggested that United were prepared to pay a sum of £16 million for the twenty-four year old striker.

Apparently, although the striker is under contract until 2014, it is now being reported that Borussia Dortmund are concerned that they could lose the striker for free after contract talks have stalled.

Could United renew their interest or did the signing of Robin van Persie kybosh any chance of a deal being done?

Your thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.
