With City flattering last night, only getting a draw at Stoke, Sir Alex Ferguson, ahead of the game with Fulham on Monday evening, has started to crank up the pressure.

Sir Alex, famous for his mind game philosophy, has stepped forward to remind Roberto Mancini what it takes to win titles, remarking,

“Individuals and teams can win games, but I think what is important now is how the temperament is – how they hold their nerve.”

“Last year, we were 1-0 down to Blackburn and needed a point to win the League and everyone in the team unbelievable.”

“The incessant pressure on Blackburn told and we got a penalty kick. We never bottled it or showed signs of anxiety or nerves. We just kept playing our game, which was good to see at that time of the season, and will be important again.”

“Experience is important, no matter who you are. If you`ve been there before, it helps. It`s not absolutely conclusive that it will apply this season because you`ve got to admire City.”

They`ve done exceptionally well and been top of the league for a long time. They`ve got us to go to the Etihad and they`ve not lost a game there.”

A bit of grudging praise there but the words ‘bottled it` are the key ones don`t you think!
