With the fixture looming large and being the last before the festive celebrations get underway, there was a festive spirit about the pre-match managerial press conferences held ahead of the game.

First up Jose Mourinho paid homage to the last of the little clubs to upset the Premier League title etiquette, remarking to the media,

‘I think expectations now are, if the top teams perform, it is very difficult for them to have the same dream or to reach the same incredible title.

‘But I think they are doing well, in a comfortable position, no dramas, no fears.

‘Can they fight to reach a Europa League spot? Yes they can, they are the same good team they were.’

And as for Claude Puel, the Leicester City manager, he was as equally pleasant with his words, remarking,

‘We play at home and I hope, of course, we can give our best against this fantastic team.

‘It’s a fantastic challenge. We know they have great players and quality on the pitch.’

Some nice words from two very well respected managers there.
