Last Gasp Bid For World Class Striker Set To End In Failure For United Just As We Predicted

|

Not too long ago, we jumped on the media inference that inferred Manchester United were set to make a last gasp bid to sign the French striker Antoine Griezmann.

Our article: Click Here, suggested that whilst we admired the clubs’ ambition, we thought any such bid was doomed to failure, with United unable to offer Champions League football.

Today, it looks very much as if our fears are to be verified with the Mirror, reporting that the 28-year-old is set to leave Atletico Madrid to sign for Barcelona for £150 million.

Whilst it would have been great to see Griezmann finally pull on a Manchester United shirt, it was, in our opinion, inevitable that if he were to ever leave his current side he’d join either of the two Spanish giants.

Sometimes, things are just not meant to be and this deal, I’m afraid, is just such a deal.
