Former United legend and current West Brom manager Bryan Robson has moved swiftly to deny that his #1 goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is on the verge of moving to Manchester.

With US keeper Tim Howard moving to Everton on loan, it is clear that United need to pick up another goalkeeper. Whilst Van Der Sar is an absolute legend, he’s not getting any younger and the search for the Schmeichel-esque long term stopper continues.

Robson, on hearing the supposed £4million link had only this to say:

‘Manchester United do have an interest but that’s as far as it’s gone.

‘If they make us a big offer then we would have to balance it up.’
