Roy Keane believes that United v Arsenal fixtures have lost some of their edge, now that there is no real tension between the two sets of players.

‘As a player I loved the games against Arsenal but nowadays they are far too pally-pally,’ he said.

‘We need to go back to the old days because those are the games I really miss playing in.

‘They were really feisty and brilliant affairs and were the real games for me. We just didn’t like Arsenal and those were the games for me.

‘I don’t miss playing against Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City but I definitely miss taking on Arsenal.’

I think we all miss those games, those Vieira v Keane duels, don’t we? Anderson v Fabregas doesn’t really cut it for me.
