Derby County are close to signing David Jones on a loan deal which could turn permanent in January.

It seems we finally have to accept that David Jones won’t make it to the first team.
He’s 22 now but his experiences are restricted to the Carling Cup and now Derby County have come in with an offer for him.

The Rams would take him on loan before agreeing a permanent deal in January for a fee believed to be around £1 million.

‘He is a talented young player,’ said Derby boss Billy Davies.

‘He has great ability and vision and can create and score goals.’
