Speculation was rife yesterday that Adnan Januzaj was set to go to Sunderland on loan.

Today, despite previously insisting that he`d rather be moved out on a permanent basis rather than being loaned out, it has been announced that the 21-year old has indeed joined Sunderland on loan.

The Belgian international will spend the complete season at the Stadium of Light thereby reuniting with David Moyes, the manager who gave him his first team chance at Old Trafford, when Moyes was in charge.

Januzaj becomes the third Manchester United player to join up with Moyes with Paddy McNair and Donald Love joining on a permanent basis earlier this week.

Talking about signing a player he knows all about, Moyes remarked to the media,

‘Adnan will give us a different variation. I have to get him back to the level he played at two years ago.

‘He will get every opportunity to do the business. I’m hoping the Sunderland fans will see the real Adnan Januzaj.”

Januazaj goes straight into the Sunderland squad for the season opener against Manchester City this weekend.
