As the Manchester derby approaches, there is a suspicion that the title could be decided United`s way.

But, enticing as it seems, winning it at the Etihad Stadium doesn`t feature prominently in Rio Ferdinand`s thoughts with the defender commenting about just securing the title,

“I couldn`t care less. As long as we win the trophy, I couldn`t care less where we win it.”

The fans would love it but as long as you get your hands on the trophy you would take it in the back garden.”

But, with the title still to be won and with the daunting prospect that one slip up could sway things back in City`s favour, even more so if they win the Manchester derby, Rio admitted being perfectly aware that goal difference could be decisive admitting that was in their thoughts when they were beating Aston Villa 4-0 yesterday, further commenting,

“We know the score, the manager doesn`t need to tell us.”

“We know we have to score goals and, if we are on top, we have to punish teams. This season we haven`t done it as much as we should have.”

But the gut feeling is that we, if we don`t slip up, have done more than enough to take that 20th top-flight title!
