It’s Great To Hear Such Words Of Wisdom From Ole Gunnar Solksjaer

|

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s tenure as the caretaker manager of Manchester United is still in its infancy.

However, since the Norwegian took over from Jose Mourinho, the club has a different feel about it.

Gone are the days when you woke up in the morning dreading what was written about us on the back pages of the tabloid press, instead it’s fair to say that there is a new serenity about the place with smiling faces going about their business.

Already, since Mourinho departed and Solksjaer took over, we’ve seen a rejuvenated Paul Pogba, whilst Marcus Rashford has dismissed talk of a move away from the club, to Real Madrid.

But, whilst Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has presided over three wins in three fixtures, the Norwegian seems keen to ensure, behind-the-scenes, work is done to ensure that those stars essential to the clubs’ future progression are tied down to long deals.

Two of those players are David de Gea and Anthony Martial, both of whom have been linked with possible moves away from the club.

The news source, the Daily Mail, recently carried some quotes from Solksjaer relating to the duo, quotes that read:

“It’s down to the players but when you’re at Man United there isn’t a lot of greener grass on the other side. You are at the best place. It’s the biggest club in the world.

“For me, I would hope I can help or guide these players to maybe tip them over to thinking they want to stay at this club.

“If you are a regular at Manchester United, I think you should grasp the opportunity to stay here and become part of the history.”

I couldn’t have put it in better words myself, let’s hope De Gea and Martial heed those words.
